Hello and welcome to Little White Light!

I’m Mary, a senior-level Graphic Designer with ten years of professional experience with Indiana University Bloomington Campus Recreational Sports. I create print and digital graphics for the two main IU-Bloomington student recreation facilities, the SRSC and Bill Garrett Fieldhouse, as well as two auxiliary facilities–the IU Tennis Center and Outdoor Pool I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have produced a huge variety of projects including web slides and web headers, graphics for Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, infographics, temporary and permanent facility signage, informational pamphlets, large-scale banners, event signage for four yearly special events, advertisements, and promotional items such as t-shirts, tank tops, water bottles, drawstring bags, and phone-clings.

In addition to designing for Recreational Sports, I frequently venture into freelance. These projects allow me to experiment with techniques and styles outside of the Recreational Sports brand. One recurring project I’ve had through the years involves coloring children’s book illustrations digitally in Adobe Photoshop, and adding shading and highlights based on author instructions. It has been rewarding way to learn about Photoshop brushes and painting methods.

I currently reside in Franklin, Indiana with my husband Jameson and our two terriers, Machiavelli and Gavin. When I feel the need to take a break and disconnect from technology, you’ll find me in the great outdoors, typically peering through the lens of my camera. My love for nature and travel has led me to hike numerous state parks in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Tennessee, and Colorado. I am ready to go sightseeing anytime the opportunity arises, and have travelled internationally to Canada, Spain, and Greece. I would love to visit Ireland and Scotland in the next few years!
